AI Credits and Pro plan refund policy

This page explains how CardForge AI handles one-time AI Credit packs, Pro subscriptions, digital delivery, cancellations, and refund requests. It is written for customers and payment review teams.

What you buy

CardForge AI sells one-time AI Credit packs and optional Pro subscriptions in USD. Credits and plan access are digital goods used for AI card generation. There is no physical shipment.

Delivery

After the payment provider confirms a successful payment, Credits or Pro access are added to your CardForge AI account automatically. If delivery is delayed, contact support with your account email and purchase time.

Refund review

Refunds are reviewed case by case. We can usually help when Credits were not delivered, were not materially used, or when a duplicate purchase happened by mistake.

Refund eligibility

Because AI Credits are digital goods, we do not guarantee refunds after Credits have been materially consumed for AI generation. Because Pro plans grant digital access, we also do not guarantee refunds after substantial plan use. We will review refund requests when Credits or plan access were not delivered, a duplicate purchase occurred, a subscription billing issue occurred, a technical issue prevented access, or a refund is required by applicable law.

How to request help

Email billing@cardforgeai.com with your CardForge AI account email, purchase date, package or plan name, and a short description of the issue. Do not send full payment card details.

No shipping

CardForge AI provides software access, digital AI Credits, and Pro plan access only. There are no shipping fees, shipping addresses, or physical returns.

Receipts and tax invoices

CardForge AI is currently operated as a small independent online software service. Payment providers may issue receipts or payment confirmations through their own systems. Formal tax invoices, VAT invoices, or enterprise procurement documents may not be available unless billing support confirms them before purchase.

Digital goods

Digital credit delivery

CardForge AI sells digital AI Credits and Pro plan access rather than physical goods. Credits or plan access are delivered to a signed-in account after the payment provider confirms a successful checkout. There is no shipping address, shipment tracking, import duty, or physical return. The important delivery records are the credit grant, subscription record, and payment record held by the checkout provider.

A customer can use credits or eligible Pro access to generate Anki-compatible cards from readable study material. Once credits have been materially used for AI generation, service resources have already been consumed. That is why refund review focuses on delivery failure, duplicate purchase, accidental purchase, subscription billing issues, account-access failure, or legal requirements rather than ordinary dissatisfaction after consumed generation.

This refund policy is meant to be predictable before checkout. Customers should understand that they are buying a digital credit balance or a digital Pro plan, not a physical item. One-time Credit packs do not renew. Pro plans renew automatically for the selected billing period until canceled. The balance and billing records are available after sign-in, and the customer can inspect credit history in account settings. Those records are the main evidence used when billing support reviews a delivery or refund question.

Refund review is separate from card review. A learner may edit, delete, or improve generated cards after export, but ordinary editing does not mean the digital service failed. The refund question is whether the paid credits were delivered correctly and whether a technical or payment issue prevented reasonable use of the purchased balance.

When refund requests are reviewed

We review refund requests when credits or plan access were paid for but not delivered, when a payment was duplicated, when checkout completed under the wrong account, when an unexpected subscription billing issue occurred, or when a technical incident prevented access to the purchased digital product. The customer should contact billing with the account email, purchase time, product or plan name, and a short description of the issue.

When credits are already consumed

Credits consumed by AI generation are usually not refundable because third-party model usage has already been charged to the service. Pro subscription fees are usually not refunded after substantial access or renewal use unless a delivery, duplicate billing, technical, or legal issue applies. If an unusual technical failure consumed credits without returning usable output, support may review the ledger and generation status to determine whether a credit adjustment is appropriate.

Examples that may qualify for review

A review is appropriate when the payment provider marks the checkout successful but no credit grant appears, when a customer accidentally purchases the same pack or plan twice, when a checkout completed under an inaccessible account, when a subscription renews incorrectly, or when a service incident prevented delivery. In those cases, billing support can compare payment status, ledger entries, subscription records, and account access before deciding whether to refund, cancel, or adjust credits.

Examples usually not refundable

Credits are usually not refundable after they have been used for successful AI generation, even if the user later edits or deletes some cards. Pro subscription fees are usually not refunded after substantial access or renewal use, unless a delivery, duplicate billing, technical, or legal issue applies. Card quality depends on source quality, prompt clarity, and review decisions. The service provides editable drafts and Anki-compatible exports, but it does not guarantee that every generated card will be accepted unchanged.

How billing support evaluates requests

Billing support checks payment provider status, the credit grant ledger, subscription records, account email, and any related support history. We do not require customers to send full card numbers or passwords. If screenshots are provided, sensitive identifiers should be redacted before sending.

How to prevent mistaken purchases

Before buying, sign in with the account that should receive the credits or plan access, review the package size, plan period, renewal terms, and total price. If you are only exploring the product, start with the free deck library or the smallest credit pack. Do not purchase credits for another user unless you control the receiving account.

Records customers should keep

Customers should keep the checkout receipt, account email, and approximate payment time until credits or plan access are visible. The Credits and Billing pages inside account settings show balance, ledger, orders, and subscription status so customers can distinguish purchases, renewals, grants, and AI generation consumption.

Contacting billing safely

Billing support needs enough detail to find the order, but it does not need sensitive payment credentials. Include account email, approximate purchase time, payment provider, credit pack or plan name, and a concise description of the problem. Remove full card numbers, private addresses, and unrelated source documents from screenshots before sending them by email.

Credit adjustments versus refunds

Some problems are better resolved with a credit adjustment or subscription correction rather than a payment refund. For example, if a temporary service error consumed credits without creating usable cards, support may restore credits after reviewing the ledger. A payment refund is usually considered when the purchase itself was duplicated, not delivered, renewed incorrectly, or associated with an account access problem.

Why private files are not part of refund review

Refund review does not require customers to upload their original study documents by email. The important evidence is the payment status, credit grant, subscription record, consumption ledger, and whether the service returned a generation result. Keeping private source files out of billing support reduces data exposure and keeps the review focused on delivery and account records.

Expected review timeline

Billing requests are normally reviewed within a few business days after the customer provides enough information to identify the payment and account. Complex cases can take longer if a payment provider status, webhook delivery, or duplicate charge needs to be checked. Customers should avoid opening multiple parallel requests for the same order because that can slow down the review.

Why the policy separates credits and plans

One-time credits make small digital purchases easy to understand: the customer buys a defined credit pack, the account receives a ledger entry, and later AI generation consumes from that balance. Pro plans are separate subscription products for heavier users who want a recurring allowance and larger limits. Keeping these records separate gives both the customer and support a clear trail when a billing question appears.
